Smart People Rule!

Monday, July 5th, 2010

Some smart dude (or dudette) on the WordPress site found the one bunged up line of code to edit in order to get WP working on the iPhone.

Thanks, unsung hero of the internet!

Twitter…

…because the WordPress for iPhone seems to be broken. Or at least it doesn’t play nice with WordPress 3.0 blogs.

Which I just upgraded this one to….

So, in order to get my “Mobile Moments” going, I’ve set up a Twitter account:

@Wheres_Drew

There’s not much there yet – and there may not be much there ever – but the novelty of instantly adding pics and geotagging stuff may get me doing a bit there before I move on to something else.

Or who knows, it may just keep going and going and going…

Aww…and I was doing so well.

Monday, September 8th, 2008

After ages of inactivity, I started posting again – and even went 5 days in a row. Then the weekend came and I didn’t write at all. So what happened? Two things.

1. I wasn’t feeling so hot. Not that I was actually sick or anything. I was just tired and had no energy.

2. I started playing World of Warcraft.

I’ve never been into MMOs before, but I started playing Mu Online since M. does and I wanted there to be a game we could share and play together. Mu’s not a bad game, just a bit dated. The graphics and interface aren’t up to the standards I want from my games, but I stuck with it and now my character is pretty cool.

I’d seen stuff on WoW ever since it came out, but always avoided it. I know I have a very addictive/obsessive personality. For that reason alone I never even tried any MMO. I know what massive time-sinks they can be. I know I’ll get sucked in and play for hours on end.

And I wasn’t wrong.

WoW is very nice. It offers what I want from a game and looks good, even with the visuals turned down to keep my MacBook from running too hot.

Of course, now I want a full-on gaming PC so I can run it with everything maxed out at 1080p on my projector… ^.^
